Moisture Meter

When burning seasoned wood this meter is a helpful tool to check its moisture content. This is especially useful when buying wood for immediate use.

Firewood should be split and stacked for at least a year prior to use. The moisture content should be below 25% prior to burning, and ideally less than 20%. Logs must be split and tested perpendiculat to the grain in several places to give an accurate reading.
